Food reserves
Our latest publication from ACORD Why wait until the next food crisis? Improving food reserves strategies in East Africa highlights the importance of African countries holding food reserves for promoting food security and price stability. It analyses the food reserves policies of three countries in East Africa, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, showing how these can and must be improved to address hunger.

CSW 59 takes place in New York
ACORD and UN Women held a side event during the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) 59 currently taking place at the United Nations in New York. The panel discussion took stock of the Beijing Platform for Action 20 years after it was implemented. It also marked the launch of Looking Back, Moving Forward! Multi-stakeholder voices the Beijing Plan of Action, a report produced by ACORD.

Orphans in South Sudan get a second chance
Orphans in South Sudan are able to earn a living that enables them support their siblings and attend school thanks to a fish-farming project.
